What the heck is it anyway?

The Not Buying It Club is a counter-cultural, gift-economy collective, made up of craftivists of all ages.  We meet to “make things better” and challenge unsustainable consumer norms.  We repair and share the stuff we already have and whenever possible, by any means possible, we try to avoid buying new stuff!  Our gift economy helps the environment and people by not buying into the materials economy model.   The Not Buying It Club is a place where by questioning and reshaping our consumption habits we nourish an authentic sense of community belonging -  which we think is the best gift of this economy.  exchange for worn out   Planet and people What a win!

When we meet  we share our talents and ideas, we trade supplies, we  gift and re-gift, we receive and mend! We champion systems thinking, climate action, and hands-on learning. We also post ideas, DIYs, and blog posts in case you can't come in person. We host monthly meet ups and special events. Mostly, we are just getting started, and making it up as we go along - so stay posted and please join us!
